Have you ever imagined that storing Halloween treats could take over your entire house? I can’t even begin to fathom how many bags of candy it would take. But if you’re handing out something like 2-liter sodas then, it could very easily take up every square inch of space.
A Canadian dad hands out 2-liter sodas for Halloween and he goes viral every year because of it. Yes, 2-liter sodas in the hands of trick-or-treaters big and small is a very out-of-the-box idea. His daughter, April, documents the prep work and has been posting it on TikTok, @muffarino, the past few years. Without fail, these videos rack up millions of views.

April takes you through a tour of the house in this video and you’ll see how there are just crates and crates full of soda. It’s absolutely wild! In the hallway, on the stairs and wall-to-wall in what looks like the upstairs loft. The soda is everywhere.
In another video, you can see the family unloading soda from a huge truck. I have so many questions about all of it: How far in advance do they order all of the soda, how many flavors do they have and do they really get rid of it all in one night of trick-or-treating?
Just the sheer determination it takes to take this on. Small bags of Halloween treats are one thing to store in your pantry but entire crates of soda is another thing entirely.
Oh, and there’s also a pretty cool clip that features sliding soda down a ramp to the trick-or-treaters who stop by.
@muffarino My dad hands out 2L pop for Halloween and it’s ridiculous. Come over if you’re in #yyc #dadsoftiktok ♬ original sound – Muffy
He clearly loves being the dad that hands out 2-liter soda for Halloween and the eager kids at the bottom are very excited for their pop.
Sometimes you’re known as the house with the full-size candy bars and sometimes you’re known as the house with the soda. I don’t know who’s winning the Halloween game but I do feel for all of the parents who have to deal with the sugar rush and inevitable sugar crash. Plus, lugging around a whole soda bottle does not sound like fun.
Either way, if you read the comments people are excited for this year’s stash.
“Okay I’m 19 but can I come trick or treat at your house???”
“Ok where I have been on a mission to bring my son”
“I’m going to try and bring a niece or nephew to Calgary to go trick or treating. this is incredible.”
“your dad is so cool can he be my dad too ? *cries in father issues*”
