My husband and I were sitting at an indoor/outdoor restaurant in Florida, watching the sun set over the last, small wave of the ocean while drinking something frozen and splitting crab legs. Breathing in the saltwater air, we sighed in relief, thankful for a family beach vacation.
Our brief moment of relaxation was cut short when a flying object hit my cheek. Momentarily forgetting our toddler was in a high chair at the end of the table, she threw my sunglasses at my face as a reminder she needed more food.

As a fellow mom, I know your thoughts are torn between “how did you get a moment of peace on a vacation with a child?” or “why on earth would you give a toddler your sunglasses?” My secret: These $20 indestructible sunglasses from Amazon.
I will admit, I was ~influenced~ to buy these sunglasses after seeing an influencer bend them without any snaps! The frames are made with TR90 material, which is a plastic material that is durable, flexible and extremely comfortable. The nose pad is also made of silicon, which means they’re relaxed and lightweight on the bridge of the nose. Finally, based on the design you choose, the lenses are polarized (which I recommend!)
Throughout the rest of our vacation, these sunglasses entertained my toddler during meals and anytime I suspected a public tantrum was forthcoming. She could bend them, open and close the sides, and stick them in her nose and ears, to her heart’s desire. And my husband and I were able to actually enjoy a hot meal together–at the same time! And at the end of our vacation, I wore the sunglasses on the 13-hour drive home, without any new scratches or dents.
When you’re a parent of toddlers, nothing is your own. And sunglasses can range from gas station prices to a design you would never want to hand off to a toddler. These sunglasses made it possible to not sacrifice design for durability and quality. For vacations, play dates at a park, going for a walk with your child or even for a peaceful meal time, these sunglasses are a must-have in the mom arsenal.
