The Spice Girls reunite to sing one of their biggest hits—and your ’90s heart will swell

Over the weekend, The Spice Girls celebrated Geri Halliwell’s 50th birthday. That’s Ginger Spice to all of you non-Spice-Girls-folks (as if such a thing exists).

Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton and Melanie Chrisholm—Posh Spice, Baby Spice and Sporty Spice, respectively—were all together for Geri Halliwell’s belated birthday party on November 5.

On the dance floor, the four girls put on an iconic mini performance with an impromptu rendition of the 1996 hit song, “Say You’ll Be There.”

We can all thank Instagram husband extraordinaire, David Beckham, for capturing the sweet moment.

Beckham captioned his post, “Special celebrating Ginger this weekend and even more special to capture this moment of the girls A friendship for Life  @spicegirls @therealgerihalliwell @victoriabeckham @emmaleebunton @melaniecmusic

He even gave a shoutout to Scary Spice who was not in attendance, “@officialmelb you were missed

In the video, the girls are in a circle, dancing and singing the lyrics with huge smiles on their faces. You just know they’re all reliving good ol’ times. We love a sweet moment that shows the importance of girlfriends.

Victoria Beckham also reposted the nostalgic video on TikTok with her own sweet caption, “When the #spicegirls reunite for one night only (minus Scary Spice! We miss you Mel B!!) Love you girls.” She also added, “Tag your girl gang!”

The Spice Girls also celebrated another huge milestone recently with the 25th anniversary of their second studio album, “Spiceworld.” To mark the occasion, they released a deluxe edition of their album with never before seen footage and special remixes.

The original album was released on November 3, 1997. Now, this new edition, “Spiceworld 25,” was released on November 4.

After their split in 2000, fans have been asking for an official reunion tour for years. But, there doesn’t seem to be much hope for that.

In a recent interview on, “Watch What Happens Live,” Victoria Beckham said, “I had so much fun being in the Spice Girls, but I think now with everything else I’ve got going on—with my fashion, and my beauty line, four children—I couldn’t commit to that.”

She’s a hardworking mama of four and that kind of work-life balance has got to extremely hard.

Until Posh Spice and all of the other Spice Girls announce their official reunion tour, we’ll just be watching and rewatching David Beckham’s Instagram video.
