Sofía Vergara’s ¡DÍOS MIO! COFFEE Empowers Women Coffee Entrepreneurs

Colombian-American actress and producer Sofía Vergara has officially launched her newest entrepreneurial feat while upholding women’s rights and opportunities. Originating from the mountains of Colombia, Vergara’s ¡DÍOS MIO! COFFEE will bring the original tastes of Colombian coffee to a broader market. The name, translated to “My God!” is a common expression used by Latinos when discovering the perfect taste and flavor.

While ¡DÍOS MIO! COFFEE prides itself in its authentic flavor and high-quality ingredients; the brand is even prouder of its all-women curators. The company supports Colombian women coffee growers in partnership with the Federación Nacional de Cafeteros (National Federation of Coffee Growers). All of the coffee produced by Vergara’s company is harvested and blended by female coffee growers in Colombia.

“¡DÍOS MIO! COFFEE comes from my love of Colombian coffee and my high standards when it comes to the quality of my coffee,” Vergara said in a press release. “I grew up in Colombia, drinking Colombian coffee. We have spent the last few years creating these blends with an amazing team of female coffee growers behind us. Women represent 30% of Colombian coffee growers, and it’s an honor to highlight their families and legacies through ¡DÍOS MIO! COFFEE.”

In addition to using women creatives and agricultural workers to curate the brand, Vergara’s premium blends will highlight some of the most admirable qualities associated with Colombian women: sweetness, balance and strength. By utilizing these attributes to represent the brand’s light, medium and dark roasts, the brand is hopeful to bring pride, gratitude and admiration to the often underrepresented female agricultural workers.

Blends

Sweetness (light roast): Dulzura coffee captures the essence of a warm ‘abrazo de abuela’ (grandmother’s hug). The love and dedication coffee growers put into every step of the process create a smooth, fruity cup with delightful sweetness and a hint of acidity.

Balance (medium roast): This blend gives a rich aroma and flavor with notes of nuts, white chocolate and brown sugar in every cup. A mix of flavors inspired by the mujeres (women) who gracefully balance work, family and passion for coffee.

Strength (dark roast): A flavor inspired by female Colombian coffee farmers’ fuerza (strength). This dark roast blend is a symbol of energy running through Latin veins. Due to excessive caramelization, each sip gives you a strong coffee flavor with cocoa hints and smoky notes.

¡DÍOS MIO! COFFEE can be conveniently purchased from Walmart.com and is available in whole and ground beans, K-cups and Nespresso pods ranging from $14.99 to just under $35.
