Shania Twain surprised the crowd at the People’s Choice Awards with the ultimate lyric change.
On Tuesday, December 6, Shania Twain, 56, performed at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards. According to the Today show, she received the Music Icon award and performed a medley of some of her biggest fan-favorites for the audience. Shania, whose unique name is great Virgo baby name inspiration, of course, included in the lineup her popular song, “That Don’t Impress Me Much.” Except, to everyone’s surprise, but especially Ryan Reynolds, she changed the lyrics!
There she is bopping along and belting out the lyrics but, in the moment where she normally sings, “Oh-oh, you think you’re special/Oh-oh, you think you’re something else/OK, so you’re Brad Pitt/That don’t impress me much,” well, she switched up the words just a tad.
The beloved singer sang, “Ryan Reynolds” instead of “Brad Pitt” and, hey, we’re not complaining! Switching from one mega movie star to another, she made a great choice, no?
But, really it’s his expression at the awards, when the camera pans to Ryan Reynolds that shows his sweet surprise at hearing his name that really gets you in your feels. The “Deadpool” actor had a priceless look of surprise and joy. He seemingly mouthed, “Me?” then had a good laugh.
If the YouTube comments are anything to go by then clearly everyone was just as amused as the Canadian actor himself.
One comment said, “Ryan Reynolds’s reaction ”
Another commented, “‘Ok, so you’re Ryan Reynolds?’ OMG too perfect ”
Ryan Reynolds, 46, is, after all, the ultimate girl dad. Plus, if Blake Lively’s speech is anything to go by, he’s not too shabby as a husband either! The father of three, James, 7, Inez, 6, and Betty, 3, (soon-to-be four), received the 36th American Cinematheque Award at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on November 17, 2022 and Blake Lively’s sweet speech pays tribute to her husband in a way that would make anyone have a fit of the vapors.
The Hollywood Reporter captured the entirety of Blake Lively’s genuine love for her husband. She pointed out many of his adoring qualities and his love for his family. She said, “And now I am his home and our girls are his home. And just like that 19 year old boy, he races home. Whether it’s from across the globe or a meeting across the street, he is hardwired to get home. If he came home from set not in his wardrobe, we would be very concerned. Soaked in mud, fake blood, real blood, prosthetic scars, superhero suits, tap shoes or clown makeup, daddy always comes home.”
