Lea Michele says ‘it’s hard not to break down and cry’ while toddler son is hospitalized

In her Instagram Stories this week, Lea Michele reveals that her son has been hospitalized for a second time—just weeks after the two-year-old was initially taken to the hospital due to “a scary health issue.”

“Today was a hard day. As parents, we have to be strong for our kids. But sometimes you just want to break down and cry,” she wrote in her Story on Wednesday. “(Hidden in the bathroom or closest is usually best. Today I chose the hospital bathroom).”

“These hard times show you truly what matters and is important in life and how much we have to be grateful for,” Michele continued. “It’s been hard, to say the least, but our boy is such a champ and is going to be ok. But it still hurts.”

Ever was also hospitalized last month and seemed to be doing well as of March 24, after Michele told her followers that she and her family were planning to bring Ever home soon.

“Thank you for all your well wishes this past week,” Michele captioned a photo of a sleeping Ever in his hospital bed. “We are taking our boy home from the hospital soon. Thank you to all the amazing doctors and hospital staff.”

She’s had to miss performances in her leading role as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl on Broadway due to Ever’s hospitalization.

Hopefully Ever is back on the mend once again, and he and his parents are happy and healthy together. Sending best wishes to Lea Michele and her family!
