Kelly Osbourne gives working moms a shout-out in first post since giving birth

Now that she’s part of the New Mom Club, Kelly Osbourne knows just how hard it is to have to leave your brand-new baby in order to go to work. In her first post since giving birth earlier this year, she’s opening up about the struggles of new mom/working mom life.

In the photo she shared to Instagram, Kelly and a friend are seen sticking their tongues out while sitting in a car together.

“I have a new found respect for working mothers. I took my first job since having a baby. Having to leave him this morning was one of the hardest things I have ever done,” she captioned the photo. “This day can’t go by quick enough for me. I can’t want to have him back in my arms.

And, in a move pretty much all of us can relate to (because we’d all have done it at that point of motherhood if it were possible), Kelly shared an Instagram Story the following day to show that she was bringing her baby with her to work!

“#Day2 I could not leave him again so it’s #BringYourBabyToWorkDay,” she wrote, showing her holding the handle of baby Sidney’s car seat.

Her son is named for her boyfriend, Sid Wilson. The couple privately welcomed their son at the end of 2022, but Kelly’s mother, Sharon Obsourne, shared the news publicly in early January during her appearance on the British chat show, The Talk.

Shortly after Sharon shared the news, Kelly took to her Instagram Story in January, writing, “I am not ready to share him with the world. It is no one’s place but mine to share any information on my baby.”

Many moms shared their own sympathetic stories in Kelly’s comments section of her latest working mom post.

I cried my first day back at work. I felt so bad for leaving him;but it gets better. Congratulations on the birth of you little boy!

Awwww it’s so hard at first, does it get easier? No but you get better at not letting the mom guilt take over and look forward to the joys of returning home. You’ve got this!!

Others called her out for being privileged—which, while true, does not discount how difficult the emotions of new motherhood can be.

Try a 9-5 vs. a one off and day care eating half of your paycheck .

Omg why would you??? England has a YEAR maternity leave.. go take advantage of it?? Why are parents so excited to “ painfully” leave their most important job? Money is NO problem here so?

Regardless of how you feel, we can all relate to Kelly as a new mom and the fact that she’s already setting boundaries with grandma—amiright?
