Kaley Cuoco’s birth plan is ‘no birth plan,’ and honestly—good for her

There are a lot of things we have absolutely no control over at the end of the day, and perhaps the biggest of them all is life and death. Specifically birth, in this instance. Because as we all know, you can plan and plan until you’re blue in the face but those babies come on their own time and do their own thing. Which is why the Kaley Cuoco birth plan is genius, really.

The “Big Bang Theory” and “Flight Attendant” actress, who is expecting her first baby with boyfriend Tom Pelphrey later this year, told Entertainment Tonight that she’s going to “trust the process” when it comes to the birth and parenting of her daughter.

“I have no plan and I’ve read zero books so that’s the type of mom I will be,” she admitted. “All the ways I’m not like a prepper. I’m just not that way. It’s gonna be great, I trust the process.”

Pelphrey, known for his role on “Ozark,” is the complete opposite of Cuoco, and has “googled enough for the both of us.”

“He could probably deliver this baby at this point,” she added. “I’m just like, ‘It’s gonna be great.’ But that’s how I’ve gone through life. I think nowadays we get so caught up, right? We didn’t even have all this stuff at our fingertips and now it’s almost too much.”

As someone who’s birth plan was just “get my children out safely,” I respect her outlook. And considering both of my births were completely different from one another, I don’t regret the lack of planning at all. Because I knew if I had a concrete plan or expectations, and those plans didn’t pan out the way I was picturing, my anxiety would have been exponentially worse.

The couple first shared they were expecting in October 2022 with a cute Instagram post captioned, “Baby girl Pelphrey coming 2023 beyond blessed and over the moon… I you @tommypelphrey !!!”

We can’t wait for the little one’s arrival in a few months!
