We are committed to plant based, biodynamic personal care, as well as non-toxic cleaning solutions for laundry and home. Our products are made with hydrating organic oils, botanicals, and wholesome ingredients of the highest quality, all without the use of artificial fragrances and colorants. We do not hide our ingredients as trade secrets because we believe the end user has the right to know if they are exposing themselves to potentially harmful chemicals. In fact, our products are free from sulfates, parabens, GMOs, formaldehyde, phthalates, PABA, DEA or mineral oils. All soaps and cleaners are sustainably formulated, eco-friendly and packaged with compostable or recyclable materials.
As seen in VOGUE, our customer favorite is also a 2020 Beauty Shortlist Editor’s Choice Awardee. Our Lavender Night Black Soap with activated charcoal undergoes pressurized steam activation to increase its oil absorbing surface area. It does wonders for deep cleansing skin without dryness. Essential oil of lavender and rich black color make this not only a deep cleansing bar, but a luxury one, as well. This soap smells like fresh fields of lavender and leaves skin silky. Out of concern for the health hazards associated with the use of talcum powder, we recently launched the Powder Room, an award-winning line of 100% natural, talc-free body powders. Our talc-free powders are available in ten essential oil based scents: Mandarin Spice, Evergreen, Cedarwood Sage, Lemongrass, Lavender, Key Lime, Peppermint Tea Tree, Highland Rose, Island Blooms and Black Currant Vanilla. These essential oil and natural based aromas are absolutely heavenly. To complement this collection, we are soon to launch fair trade, organic coffee and sugar scrubs to our spa line of products.
Shop also our Spa Stop, an fine collection of products from vintage glass soap dishes, bamboo toothbrushes to Turkish towels and eco car clips. There you will also find our collection of fair trade masks, ethically made by the Swahili Coast Cooperative of artisans from Kenya and Tanzania from 100% cotton kitenge fabric. Every artisan is part owner of the cooperative and shares in the profits. In addition, a mask is donated locally in Tanzania for every purchase. Not only do these masks provide personal protection against the spread of the Coronavirus, but their beautiful colors, fine craftsmanship and social good elevate these masks beyond the fashion statement.
As a company, we are platinum members of the Green Business Bureau. We avoid the use of plastics and excessive shipping materials. We use an eco-friendly printer to print labels and packaging with FSC certified paper that is chlorine free and biodegradable. In addition, the ink is soy and vegetable based with zero VOCs. Soap boxes are made from post-consumer recycled paper. Business cards are printed on paper made from recycled t-shirts.
We are Leaping Bunny certified as cruelty free, and members of the RSPO Rainforest Alliance for sustainability. When you see our brand’s notation that our oil is RSPO certified, you are assured not only that cultivation practices are in keeping with environmental sustainability, but also that the local population is fairly paid for the work they do. RSPO certified palm growers account for only 19% of the overall market.
