Billie Eilish Ditches Her Trademark Green Hair for Blonde

The last time we saw Billie Eilish’s trademark green and black choppy lob was this past weekend’s Grammy Awards ceremony. Little did we know that her winning record of the year for her single “Everything I Ever Wanted” would inspire a drastic switch up. Today, the singer debuted a brand new look to her 77 million Instagram followers. Is a new era upon us?

In Billie’s new photo—which popular celebrity news account Pop Faction claimed beat Selena Gomez’s Instagram record for fastest likes (Billie’s record? Six minutes)—the singer gives a droopy stare as her new blonde locks flawlessly frame her face.

She might have traded in her signature green and black ombré hair, but the bangs remained intact. This time, Billie’s bangs are fringed and spread across her forehead instead of parted to each side of her face. To add more volume to her hair, Billie’s former lob has been lifted with choppy layers and waves that fall to her shoulder.

The singer didn’t reveal much about the look but judging by her caption, “pinch me,” she’s just as excited as the fans and celebs praising her new look in the photo’s comments section. On her Instagram Stories, Billie shared other reactions to her new look, including one from Paramore’s Hayley Williams, who likened Billie’s new blonde ‘do to her own After Laughter blonde era.

Before Billie settled on green and black ombré hair, the singer experimented a lot with her color, dyeing her hair blues, grays, pinks, and more. All those changes beg the question: How is her hair so strong after all those dye jobs? Drop the haircare routine, Billie!
